Local Mail Inbox
A local SMTP server catches the mail your app sends, with sign-in codes and links picked out to copy.
How it works
The engine listens for SMTP on 127.0.0.1:1025, with no login and no TLS. Point your app's mail settings at it, and every message it sends shows up on the Mail screen instead of in someone's inbox: sender, recipient, the text and HTML bodies, and the first sign-in code and link, ready to copy or open. Each workspace keeps its own inbox on your machine, never in its repository. From the terminal, bifurc mail last --otp prints the code your app just sent, and a flow's Mail node waits for it.
When to use it
- Test sign-up and password-reset mails without a real mailbox.
- Copy the one-time code your app just sent into the form you are testing.
- Check an email's HTML before it goes to real customers.
