All rights not explicitly granted to you are reserved.
The source code of Bifurc, where made available, is governed by its accompanying software license. Third-party components, including the bundled interface themes, remain under their own licenses.

8. Authorized Use
Bifurc includes powerful development and system-related functionality.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have proper authorization before using Bifurc to interact with:
- Networks
- Servers
- APIs
- Applications
- Git repositories
- Devices
- Certificates
- Network traffic
- Systems owned or controlled by another person or organization
You must not use Bifurc to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
9. Network and Proxy Features
Bifurc may allow users to inspect, proxy, modify, mock, or otherwise interact with network traffic.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have authorization to inspect or interact with any traffic processed using the Software.
You must not use Bifurc to unlawfully intercept, monitor, or access communications or data belonging to others.
10. HTTPS Certificates
Bifurc may provide functionality related to creating, installing, or using certificates to enable HTTPS inspection or proxy functionality.
Certificate installation and trust configuration can affect the security of your device and network environment.
You are responsible for reviewing and approving certificate-related actions before performing them.
You understand that improperly configured certificates or proxies may result in:
- Security risks
- Failed network connections
- Application connectivity issues
- Trust warnings
- Other unintended consequences
Use these features at your own risk.
11. Anonymous Usage Analytics
Bifurc collects anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how the Software is used and to improve it.
Anonymous usage analytics are enabled by default. By accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy, you agree that Bifurc may send these analytics from the moment you accept. Nothing is sent before you accept.
The analytics describe what kind of action was performed, on which platform and from which interface. They never include the content of your work: no names, URLs, paths, headers, bodies, scripts, variables, secrets, captured traffic, or GitHub account details. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what is and is not sent.
You can turn analytics off at any time in the desktop app under Settings → About → Privacy. With analytics turned off, Bifurc reports only that it was installed on the device, once. To send nothing at all, set the environment variable BIFURC_TELEMETRY=0 or DO_NOT_TRACK=1 before starting Bifurc.
Turning analytics off does not limit any feature of the Software.
12. GitHub Sign-In and Workspace Sync
Signing in to GitHub is optional and is only needed to sync a workspace with a repository.
If you sign in:
- You authorize Bifurc to access repositories on your GitHub account so that it can list your repositories, create a repository for a workspace, and push and pull workspace files.
- Your access token is stored on your device and is used only to communicate with GitHub.
- You are responsible for the repositories you publish to, including their visibility and who has access to them.
- Your use of GitHub is subject to GitHub's own terms and policies.
You can sign out in the app's settings or revoke Bifurc's access from your GitHub account at any time. Signing out removes the account's workspaces from the device; changes that were never synced are lost.
13. Git Operations and Data
Bifurc may provide tools that perform Git-related operations.
Depending on how you use the Software, these operations may affect:
- Files
- Branches
- Commits
- Repository history
- Remote repositories
You are responsible for reviewing actions before confirming them.
You should maintain appropriate backups of important repositories and data.
We are not responsible for data loss, repository corruption, accidental commits, incorrect Git operations, or other consequences resulting from your use of the Software.
14. Vaults and Secrets
Bifurc may let you store secrets in vaults that are encrypted with a passphrase you choose.
We cannot recover a passphrase or the secrets protected by it. You are responsible for remembering your passphrases and for the security of the device and repositories where vaults are kept.
15. No Guaranteed Support
Bifurc is independently developed and maintained.
The Software is provided without any obligation to provide:
- Customer support
- Technical assistance
- Bug fixes

Feedback, feature requests, and bug reports may be reviewed at our discretion.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their respective terms, policies, and conditions.
We are not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of third-party services.
20. Privacy
Your use of Bifurc is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
Bifurc is a local-first application: your workspaces, requests, captured traffic and secrets stay on your device. The only data Bifurc sends to us is the anonymous usage analytics described in section 11 and in the Privacy Policy, which you can turn off.
21. Termination

Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and, where legally required, remove copies of the Software under your control.
